Sara: Thanks for the feedback. I agree with you about ceratin aspects of morality and it is something we need to have another get-together and explore. However, when I was car-jacked in Iraq I had drawn my weapon and was about to kill the peasant who made the attempt. Moments before I pulled the trigger a US Soldier told me to move on and not waste my time. But let's say I had pulled the trigger. Couldn't I argue that I may have prevented a car-jacking of another un-suspecting American in that town AND potentially saved an American life. What if my actions of nearly killing the man scared him enough to never try it again? Who knows. But your point is well taken in the broader scheme I think moral, ethical, or values' / principles need to be taught in society so at least people are making better' decisions and we have a standard by which to judge.
